Book Blogger Hop - December 3rd - 6th

Book Blogger Hop>

The blog hop is hosted by Jennifer at Crazy-for-Books

This week's question comes from Marce who blogs at Tea Time With Marce:

"What very popular and hyped book in the blogosphere did you NOT enjoy and how did you feel about posting your review?"

There is one book that comes to mind and that's Twilight. It's not so much that I didn't enjoy it, but more that I didn't love it as much as everyone else seemed to. I don't know if it was before I started reviewing on my blog, but I have mentioned that it wasn't my favorite.

Another one was Outlander, but I read that way before I was blogging. This goes back many years ago. After reading so many positive things about it from bloggers recently, I've already got a copy loaded onto my Nook and eventually I will try again. Sometimes going back to something years later makes a difference.

  2. I didn't even try Twilight, I knew it just would not be for me.

  4. As much as I love Twilight I was irritated of how much buzz people gave it. Also making it the best vampire series?? I hate to offend twilight fans but really??? Anyway, it is always a must to be honest in reviews regardless of how they came out. With all the answers that I am seeing it really shows that everything depends on a person preference in how they will love or hate a book.

Dropping by from the hop. Visit me at Clandestine Sanctuary to know my answer. I am already a follower. :)

    Have a great weekend.

  5. I love both TWILIGHT (the first book, anyway) and OUTLANDER, but I agree that the former is not nearly good enough to justify all the hype. The latter, now, that's a different story ...

  6. Just hopping by ... I'm one who avoids the hyped books ... so I've been staying away from Twilight because of the amount of hype it has gotten. I haven't found many readers of it thought that didn't rave about it ... I think you are a first.

  7. I'm a huge fan of the Twilight series, but I don't have a problem with people who don't enjoy it as much as I do.

    I can't think of a hyped book I disliked.

    Your newest follower!

  8. Hoppin' by (I probably would have anyway, even if it weren't for the Hop!). I loved Outlander and hope you enjoy it more the second time around. Have a wonderful weekend, Yvonne. :)

  9. Hopping through. New follower! I've always wanted to read Outlander. I know lots of people love it, but I've read bad things too. I've heard the series gets better after the first book.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
