Soul Sacrifice by Leanore Elliot

Genre: Paranormal
Publisher: Silver Publishing
Release Date: January 2011
Format: EBook

This is a very unusual book based on a Creole curse that began in 1889. Beautiful, rich and spoiled Cessoline disguises herself in a very unflattering costume to avoid marry her brother's best friend Reeves. Her plans backfire and they both lay dying. Only one person can save them, but at what cost?

Then we are taken to 1989, a hundred years later when Cesso's heir, Jubilee tries to break the curse. She contacts reporter Charlie Sanders and and requests she come to Avalonde Plantation to assist her. Charlie meets up with Ravens, who also can help with getting rid of the curse.

This is three romances in one...Cesso/Reeves, Charlie/Ravens and Jubilee/Nick. Nick is a detective out to find the truth.

The couples are drawn together in a sizzling, steamy romance. The women are strong heroines and the men are deliciously hot. Readers will be entranced with these two parallel stories. I found it intriguing how the author goes from 1889 to 1989 without skipping a beat. It's a story that will keep you turning the pages until the very end.

Soul Sacrifice is the first book of a unique trilogy. I'm looking forward to reading more about these interesting characters.
