The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
It continues to be hot and very humid here with thunderstorms every afternoon. Finally we had a chance to go to our community pool. It was refreshing.
I only finished one book this week. I'm still not sure where all my time goes to since I'm not watching much TV these days. I would guess all of my computer time is catching up with me and limiting my reading time. I really have to do something about that.
What have you been watching and reading this summer? Have you seen any of the movies out there? I haven't been to a movie in a long time, but it sounds like there are some good ones out there. I prefer watching at home so I can fall asleep. LOL
I hope you have a great week!
I hardly go to movies anymore. I kinda miss it! And to be honest a dip in the pool sounds pretty good. We've been trying to hit the beach as much as we can lately. :)
ReplyDeleteOutside the Lines looks good. So does Block PArty!
It's been hot here, too, but cooling down soon. I have A Likeable Woman on my list as well. I hope I'm able to read it before the end of the month. We'll see. Have a lovely week and stay cool!
ReplyDeleteI looked at the Sheila Lowe book when it was on sale since I enjoyed the first in the series. But it's a later one, and I have a long ways to go to catch up, so I passed for now.
ReplyDeleteI'm finishing up Fatal Groove right now. I hardly ever go to movies anymore. I'm streaming Suits on Netflix and Alone on Amazon Prime. Here's my SP: https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2023/07/23/sunday-post-full-steam-ahead-sundaypost/
ReplyDeleteIt’s been warm here but unlike the interior or our province we don’t get the thunderstorms that you also experience which cause forest fires routinely. The cover for knit, purl, murder looks perfect for Halloween! I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
ReplyDeleteNot a lot of movies out I want to go and see, I did see Sound of Freedom which was great. Next movie I would like to see comes out in August and that is Meg 2...lol. Nothing like a cheesy Shark movie during the summer. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy reading!
Stormi
You have some fun looking books. It has been hot here. I used to love it, but now I can't deal with it or the humidity. Getting older does have its downfalls. I used to hate AC, now it runs nonstop. About the only way I can be outside is when I am in the pool. Sooo glad that was a requirement when we moved here, the Panhandle of Florida.

I need to read Fatal Groove. Maybe I can squeeze it in this week. Hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteExactly! I always think I should have more time available. I do need to cut back on social media time. I tend to dawdle with it in the morning and at bedtime. That only happened since I injured my hip a few years back. I'm trying to stop it. But all the things like laundry and shopping and cooking and pets take time year round. But I try to limit my outdoor time with the heat in July and August. So I think I should have more time..
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
One book is better than none :) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be getting a lot of rain. We are getting none, and we'd greatly appreciate some of yours, if you could send some over.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what I'm doing with my time either. I seem to have a little less of it each year.
I prefer watching movies at home as well. I would fall asleep, but I tend to take breaks when I watch them. Have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer movies at home so I can pause for the bathroom. We have been watching Strange New Worlds. XO
ReplyDeleteThe freebies this week look good. I'll probably be going to see Barbie. I saw Guardians of The Galaxy 3 back in May. I'm currently enjoying the Justified spin off City Primeval. I've read a bunch of Elmore Lenords and I'm pretty sure I read City Primeval way back when.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how are reading time can dissipate! The Barbie movie is getting great notice at present, but not one I am drawn to, I haven't been to a movie since the pandemic.
ReplyDeleteI am writing all those cozies down!! Ugh our weather has been the same, I hate it. :(
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen a movie in a theater for years. In fact, I seldom watch movies even at home. I had a great reading week and am finally rebuilding my blog cushion. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteWhen it is so hot, it's hard to get motivated to do much of anything. So glad you made it to the pool.
ReplyDeleteWe saw The Sound of Freedom this weekend. Very disturbing topic, but an excellent movie.
All your freebies sounds great. I think I have Dolphin Bay. Enjoy your week.

Thanks for this post, I'm listing all the books to add to my reading list.
ReplyDeleteWe've been really enjoying older movies that the theaters have started showing but haven't actually seen any new movies. I'm kind of curious about Barbie but most others haven't appealed to me lately. I hope you're having a great week!
