This week's topic is Goals for 2026 (Bookish or not! Share your reading goals, personal goals, etc.) I love making goals although I don't always complete them, but these are my 2026 goals.
1) Bookish - My number one goal is to read 100 books this year. I'm keeping track on Goodreads. Although the widget says I read 2 books, I actually have read 5. I'm not sure why the widget doesn't say that. It's updated on Goodreads.
2026 Reading Challenge
Yvonne has
read 2 books toward her goal of 100 books.
2) Bookish - I'm going to concentrate on completing the challenges I signed up for or, at least, get as close as I can. I'm going to use my Kindle Scribe to do that. I really love this cover for it.
3) Bookish - I really want to work on my TBR shelf. I have so many books on my Kindle and I want to read them. To help me with this, I've cut back considerably on the number of ARCs I will accept.
4) Bookish - Another thing to work on - my NetGalley feedback ratio. I have to do better and raise my percentage by a lot!
5) Bookish - Listen to audio books more often. I'm already on my second audio book.
6) Personal - I want to lose weight. I just have to keep with it. (I'm using Weight Watchers)
7) Personal - I have to get on an exercise schedule and stick to it.
It's not ten, but I have seven goals to try and reach. It's a good start and who know if I'll add to it later?
What's on your list this week?

Love your Kindle case!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your #TTT and good luck with your goals
Good luck with your last two goals. One key to finding the right exercise program is to find something you enjoy doing. If it's a chore, you're more likely to stop doing it.

These are all great goals! I'm on a weight loss journey myself, so I wish you the very best. Also, your Kindle cover is gorgeous! A hundred books is a goal I'd never actively set, but I hope you reach it. I hope you achieve all your goals 😊.

Great goals both in reading and life! Oh btw, your book counter shows as 5 now.
ReplyDeleteI have a goal of 90 books. I don't think that I will ever reach 100 due to the fact that I don't have the time.
ReplyDeleteMy Netgalley ratio is at 90%. Ideally I want to get it all done by the end of the year and then leave it for a bit whilst I catch up on my own books. The only problem is that I get sent stuff via Netgalley and feel like I need to read it!
Have a great week!

I didn't think I'd make ten, either! The audiobook one could pair well with the exercise, depending on what you're doing!
ReplyDeleteA nice set of goals. I hope you achieve them all.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the kitties. ♥
I’m trying to lose weight this year as well. I lost about 10 pounds between September and December, so slow and steady is what it will probably look like for me.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all of your goals!
Awesome list, Yvonne! Such a cute Kindle cover, too. Wishing you the greatest success this year.

Having only 7 goals makes them more manageable! I think most of us are wanting to read more of what we own. I also have a couple hundred books that I own on my Kindle that I need to read. Sigh, maybe someday we will catch up.
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to lose more weight. Good luck with all your goals. XO
ReplyDeleteThe Netgalley shelf seems to be a drading one for everyone today ha! Thankfully I swore to never do ARCs years ago and I honestly love that freedom. Blog commitments, too many of them, makes blogging feel like a chore to me.

Those are excellent, it's wise to pick a few and make them manageable and reasonable and you will likely stick with them.
ReplyDeleteI only had seven goals this week too. 100 books is a lot, but I did it one year. Good luck getting there! Good luck with getting to the exercise schedule. Which reminds me, I have a Body Pump class to go to tomorrow. Don't want to forget!
ReplyDeleteExercise is hard! I do really well at it for a few weeks, and then I burn out and don't want to do it anymore.
ReplyDeleteI love my Kindle Scribe! I have a fun case that looks like a composition notebook. I'm also on WW. If I follow the program, I lose; it's just not always easy to stick with it. Good luck with all your goals!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
