It's Kit's birthday!
Well, it's actually tomorrow but I wanted to celebrate her during Aww Mondays. She'll be 9 years old.
I don't remember if I ever posted Kit's story on my blog, but this is how she came into our lives. My husband was at work and I just finished grocery shopping. As I was putting everything away, I kept hearing a squeaking noise. I had no idea where it was coming from. I looked on our deck and saw this...

I had no clue what to do or what it really was. I called my vet and they told me to leave her there as the mother will be back for her. Well, I waited for a half hour, then called my husband who said to get her inside where it was warm. I put her in one of my cat beds. Then, he said to go to the store and get some milk and a syringe to feed her. I did that, but she wouldn't eat. Finally, my husband came home and got her to crawl on his face...
He couldn't get her to eat either. So he coaxed one of the stray cats I always fed and she took her under her paw as if she were her own.
Kit continued to thrive and enjoy her new home.
Nine years later, we moved to Florida and she came with us. She's Queen of the house. She's totally a Daddy's Girl and she's not quite sure why these other two cats are here.
