This week I'm joining in Book Beginnings on Friday. It's hosted by Rose City Reader. This is where we post the beginning of the books we are reading or will be reading.

I'm also joining in for the Friday 56.
Freda at Freda's Voice started and hosted The Friday 56 for a long, long time. She is taking a break and Anne at My Head if Full of Books has taken on hosting duties in her absence. Please visit Anne's blog and link to your Friday 56 post.

I love this cruising cozy mystery series. This is the 6th book in the series.
Book Beginnings...
Olivia jolted awake. The shrill shriek of the ship's emergency alarm blared through her cabin.
From 56% on my e-reader...
She glanced at the clock again, calculating distances and minutes with growing desperation.
Synopsis from Goodreads:
Life aboard the SS Starlight takes a dangerous turn when Olivia Morgan spots something suspicious in the shadows.
With a mysterious fire threatening the ship and a crew member found dead in a smoke-filled cabin, this cruise is anything but smooth sailing!
As Olivia and her chatty parrot sidekick Chico investigate, they discover a sinister plot that stretches across multiple cruise lines. Between dodging danger and performing her magic act, Olivia must also figure out what to do about the growing seriousness of her relationship with the ship's handsome Chief of Security, Alex Ballas.
Can Olivia and Chico uncover the truth before more victims surface? Will Olivia's magic skills help her catch a killer? And will she manage to solve the mystery before she becomes the next target?
What do you think? What are you sharing today?

This looks good. I love a cruise mystery as well and was so disappointed by Heather Graham's latest. I'm honestly wondering if AI wrote it. I will have to pick this one up. I love the intensity of the 56.
ReplyDeleteThat looks interesting. XO
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a good one.
ReplyDeleteWas her growing desperation because she was in the water and the boat was moving away? Sorry I missed commenting last week. I was away from my computer for a whole week.
