The Weekend Review - July 4th-6th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

I hope those in the U.S., who celebrate July 4th, had a great day and are having a great holiday weekend. My kitties find the fireworks a bit challenging, but they are surviving. The fireworks start here several days before the 4th and go for several days after. Our weather has been alternating between hot and wet.  The rain doesn't cool anything off here and doesn't stop the fireworks either.

I finished one book this week and it was another good one. I've really been lucky lately with good books. I just wish I could read faster.

It's been pretty quiet here. I just can't believe we are already in July. It's hard to believe half the year is over already.

hope everyone has a great week!

Yvonne

Here is this week's e-book freebie haul.  They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  2. Happy 4th of July! We had very few firecrackers/fireworks for Canada Day and I’m glad as we are so dry here. I have the Cleeton book on my summer TBR too and I’m sure we will both enjoy it.

  3. I wish I could read faster, too. So many books, so little time! Fireworks around here started a day or two before the 4th. They were in the distance. I could hear them, but not see them. I guess they're far enough away that my cats aren't bothered by them, thankfully. It can be a difficult holiday for our fur family. Have a great week. :)

    1. Some fireworks were really loud here. The kitties were not happy. At least it's all over now. Even if we get a few more tonight it won't be that loud anymore. You have a great week too!

  4. I only heard two small firecrackers go off last night, but my husband couldn't sleep because of all of the fireworks! I guess I was just exhausted and fell into a deep sleep. I always read fast when I'm reading a good book.

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
