Friday Book Snippets - November 6th

Book Beginnings on Friday and Friday 56 are now combined into one blogging event.  It is hosted by Olivia @ Bemused & Bookish and Anne @ Head Full of Books.  The directions are to post two snippets. One is from the beginning of the book and the second is from page 56 or any other page of the book you are currently reading.

I'm currently reading this one.  It's #9 in the series.

Beginning:

Fall in Kentucky was probably my favorite season. The fall foliage created a cozy picture that no artist could ever capture on film or in a painting.

Second Snippet - 56% of the e-book...

Hank was displaying some very odd behavior, and boy, did my uh-oh meter go off.

My thoughts...

I listened to the previous eight books on audio and enjoyed them.  This time I'm reading the e-book.  I find it an enjoyable series either way. I love the main character and there's been so much growth in her character. Right now, there are 45 books in the series, so I have a long way to go. These books are under 200 pages so they make for a nice, quick read between longer books.  If you want to read more about this book, click here to read its Goodreads page.

What are you sharing this week?

  1. I've never been to Kentucky or Tennessee in the Fall. I bet it is pretty that time of year. The opening sentence evoked lovely pictures in my head.

  2. I'm with Anne, I immediately had a picture in my head at the beginning.

  3. Always nice to find a series you like that has a lot of books.

  4. It wouldn’t be such a long series if it weren’t worth a look.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
