For fiction and literature, I single out the ones to be re-read and put them on a different case.

My TBR has dwindled since I try not to buy unless there is a huge bargain. I leave the books on my list. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4212778319280550447.post-67667688315322950292009-02-22T00:42:00.000-05:002009-02-22T00:42:00.000-05:00Thanks for your comment on my BTT post... isn't it...Thanks for your comment on my BTT post... isn't it funny how the TBR list grows exponentially while the Read list pales in comparison?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4212778319280550447.post-32708989689138440142009-02-19T22:17:00.000-05:002009-02-19T22:17:00.000-05:00Sounds like you live in a library!!!Sounds like you live in a library!!!Mary (Bookfan)https://www.blogger.com/profile/00573126476574980169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4212778319280550447.post-64894642901346575072009-02-19T19:29:00.000-05:002009-02-19T19:29:00.000-05:00Lynda - Parting with unread books just seems so wr...Lynda - Parting with unread books just seems so wrong to me, but I know I won't even live long enough to read them all.

Smilingsal - I've been trying to convince my husband that it's time for me to retire so I can read, but he thinks it's time for me to stop buying books. Different philosophies, I guess. LOL

I think my TBR increased so much because I had, at one time, been subscribed to many of the Harlequin and Silhouette series books. Depending on the series, that can be anywhere from 4-8 books a month. Then I get caught up in cozy series and other series books where I can't just get the first book, I have to have the entire series (not just Harlequins but mainstream trilogies, etc.)

I keep track of my books through an Excel spreadsheet, which is why I know exactly how many I have yet to read.Yvonnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13261873308731564886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4212778319280550447.post-53798015655602937942009-02-19T19:05:00.000-05:002009-02-19T19:05:00.000-05:00OMG 10000!!!!!I haven't counted but not counting t...OMG 10000!!!!!

I haven't counted but not counting the books waiting to be given away I have probably less than 200. I only keep books if I'll read them again (which with fiction is rare) or are nonfiction books I can refer back to for some reason.

My answer is hereKathleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04013633281843747712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4212778319280550447.post-38850482532007914102009-02-19T18:08:00.000-05:002009-02-19T18:08:00.000-05:0010,000 books----wowser! I usually only buy 3-4 books at a time and I make myself read them before I purchase any more. I have no space in my home for more than the one shelf we have, and it is messy,lol.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4212778319280550447.post-42302284452808720792009-02-19T13:39:00.000-05:002009-02-19T13:39:00.000-05:00***Passes out due to the sheer ecstacy of 10,000 b...***Passes out due to the sheer ecstacy of 10,000 books.*****

StorageBrooke from The Bluestocking Guidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07832634751075478091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4212778319280550447.post-67209809675318754182009-02-19T12:26:00.000-05:002009-02-19T12:26:00.000-05:00I do try to keep mine organized on my bookshelf.ov...I do try to keep mine organized on my bookshelf.
over 10,000 books!!! you are a one woman library :)
http://thebookworm07.blogspot.com/The Bookwormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10217390642323530030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4212778319280550447.post-79629108547679616462009-02-19T08:29:00.000-05:002009-02-19T08:29:00.000-05:00I love it!
