I'm reading a book on pandemics but that's about it that's changed.

My watching TV staples have changed, though. I find myself not being able to watch dark TV shows or documentaries like usually love to watch. That's one of my favorite genres so it's not that different. We went under a Stay at Home order this week too but like you I don't see it really changing how we do anything. We've been pretty much self-isolating and only going out for food/medicine for the last few weeks and only my husband is going out as I have some risk factors. I've been doing that for two weeks now. My state shut down all but essential services. My reading tastes haven't changed much although I have noticed that romances lately are not doing it for. I DNFed two, and I'm tempted to DNF the one I'm on now. This one is more me than the book whereas the first two were definitely the books. Ah well. Mysteries and suspense stories are keeping me happy.

Stay safe and happy reading!Beahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17455117466213636141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4212778319280550447.post-4066858301076492882020-04-04T17:25:20.754-04:002020-04-04T17:25:20.754-04:00I've been worried about the people in your sta...I've been worried about the people in your state. It is good to know that most people were self-isolating even without the mandated order.

I've only been able to read children's books so far, but I am going to try my best to read some adult books starting tomorrow. I've got to pick some books that aren't too anxiety-producing. I think the reason that you are able to continue to read your favorite genres is that these are great books for difficult times.

We've been watching The Good Place on Netflix. I don't get to watch much TV during the week, except maybe an hour or two in the evenings, depending on how tired I am after work.

I don't know if my reading has changed genre wise during this crisis. The truth is, I have not been reading all that much at all. I think most people I know are going for the lighter reads like romance and cozies, while a small few are reading more post-apocolyptic books. I actually was eyeing nonfiction novel about the cholera epidemic in the mid-1800's. We'll see where I go when I do get back into reading more.

I hope you stay safe and well, Yvonne!
