Sunday/Monday Posts - October 19th and 20th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews

Happy Sunday and Monday!

Busy week at work and at home.  It was even a busy week on my blog :) I think I overbooked myself with tours...well, it's not totally my fault.  I didn't expect to get a new job and planned for tours as if I had no job.  Well, surprise!  LOL  I'm managing though.  I made excellent choices in the tours that I chose and I'm reading so many excellent books.

Although I banned myself from NetGalley and Edelweiss, that didn't last.  I couldn't help it... it wasn't my fault!  They are putting so many good books on both sites, what am I supposed to do?  I have no will power :)  As usual, my feedback ratio is going in the wrong direction.  Don't you just love how I rationalize this all out and make sure everyone knows it's not my fault?  LOL

I'm still reading many good books and watching some great TV shows.  Scandal and Revenge are getting my attention lately.  I'm, also, enjoying the new shows Gotham and Forever.  I hope they both stick around.

Other than that, it's the same old stuff here.  That's not necessarily a bad thing :)

Hope you are all enjoying your books :)  Have a great week.

Yvonne

  1. I like the look of 10th Anniversary...and the Debbie Macomber book is one I think I'd enjoy. It's been too long since I read one of her books.

Thanks for visiting my blog and have a great week! And I know how hard it is to resist books, even when we've vowed to cut back.

  2. Of course it's not your fault! The publishers are evil for tempting you! :P My will power has been remarkably absent of late, sigh. I understand what you mean about overbooking while you were unemployed. I'm falling into that trap too. But I figure, I've got the time, I should use it.

    Have a good week!

  5. Looking at your books I feel how my TBR pile is growing. Not that I'm complaining but... when I'm gonna read them all I dunno. Happy reading! :)

  7. It's not your fault! :) I don't go near Netgalley cause if I did that would be it, I'm sure. There are probably sequels I'm waiting for on there right now!

I want to check out Gotham, it looks good.

  11. NetGalley gets me every time! It's totally not your fault! I've heard good things about Forever and Gotham but haven't managed to watch them yet. Both sound really great though. Can't wait to see what good books you ended up with!
