The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
It's been a crazy week getting back into the swing of things after our cruise. Between laundry, doctor appointments, writing reviews, and grocery shopping, I've been on the go all week. I did manage to read three books, but they were short ones. Good, but short.
I found it so difficult this week to write reviews. They were for books I read over my vacation. If I don't write a review right away, it's just not fresh in my mind. I made many notes, but it didn't seem to help. At least now I'm back to my usual schedule and can write reviews right after I read the book.
I was hoping to sign up for 2026's reading challenges, but I never got around to it. I'll do it this week and get that out of the way.
I've also been watching some of my shows like Survivor, Fire and Sheriff Country and Boston Blue. There are some other shows I haven't gotten around to yet.
So, what have you been up to? I hope everyone has a great week!

I wonder which was written first: "The Time Hop Coffee Shop" or "Before the Coffee Gets Cold."
ReplyDeleteWelcome back. I hope the cruise was awesome!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
ReplyDeletefind it much easier to write reviews right after reading the book, too.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
We have been binge watching Fire Country. I can't believe we never heard of it until this year. XO
ReplyDeleteI find I have to close the book and go straight to write the review! A busy week after the cruise - hopefully things will slow a bit, but still with Christmas on the way!
ReplyDeleteIt always takes me a couple of days to get back in the groove after I have been away from home. And I have to write a review as soon as I finish a book. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWe always seem to need a holiday to recover from the holiday :)
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful and more relaxing week
Yes... returning from a holiday is always a trudge. And I completely agree about writing reviews. Like you - I'm struggling if I don't write them very soon after finishing the book! I hope the coming week is a lot less hectic, Yvonne:)).
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful time on the cruise!!
ReplyDeleteGetting back in the swing of things after a time away is always hard. I know what you mean about writing reviews. The longer I wait, the harder it is. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteIt takes a while to go back from cruise time to regular time.
