The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
A quiet week for me. It's been colder than usual in Florida, although nothing like what many of you are going through. Nothing to complain about here.
I only finished one audiobook and started another. I do like celebrity memoirs. If any of you know of any good ones, please let me know. I'll look for them.
I've been watching my usual shows - The Pitt, 911, Chicago Med, PD and Fire. All of them have been good.
I haven't been doing much else this week. What have you been doing? Anything exciting? Hope everyone has a great week!

It suddenly got cold today, and it should be cold here for a few more days.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you have read I'm Glad My Mom Died. It's the latest celebrity memoir I've read.
I haven't read that one. I just checked and my library has it, but there's a waiting list so it will be a while before I can get it. Too bad they don't have an audio for it.
DeleteFlorida got snow and we got rain. I would love to switch! Have a great week. :)
ReplyDeleteNo snow on my side of Florida. I'm glad for that. I had enough when I was living in New York :) I hope you have a great week too.
DeleteCelebrity memoirs are most of the nonfiction I read/listen to these days. I loved the one by Tom Felton, as well as the one by Sam Heughan. Mindy Kaling had a good memoir too, and I love when they read their own books for the audio. I did hear some colder air was in Florida. The book your reading is one that sounds good! Hope you enjoy it in the end. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the audio recs. They sound good. I'll see if my library has them. Hope you have a good week!
DeleteI am very excited for A Box Full of Darkness!
ReplyDeleteMe too! It looks really good.
DeleteI haven't read many celebrity memoirs but I have a few on my list to read, including Patrick Stewart's autobiography.
ReplyDeleteI went to an interactive dining experience today based on the British comedy TV show Fawlty Towers. It was lots of fun.
Have a great week!
I forgot about Patrick Stewart's book. My library has that one. You have a great week too!
DeleteIt's been so cold the last few days here and I'm not liking it! The Simone St James book is on my TBR. It looks really good. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love her books. I'm looking forward to this one too. Have a great week!
DeleteIt's going to be a chilly week here. Hopefully that means I can get more reading and paperwork accomplished with less time out and about.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
That's the good thing about bad weather. It's a chance to read more.
DeleteI just DNFd an audiobook, so now I am trying to figure out what to start next. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks. You too!
DeleteI really enjoyed Henry Winkler’s memoir, but From Scratch by Tembi Locke is my favourite. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out Henry Winkler's book. You have a great week too!
DeleteIt's rather cold here, too, although nothing like up North.
ReplyDeleteI hope you stay warm on these chill days!
Thanks. I hope you are warm too.
DeleteWe'll be having nice weather here for a few more days and then cold and rain again. The weather keeps flip flopping but I'm taking advantage of the nice weather by getting out. My husband and I are going hiking tomorrow since he has the day off. I'm looking forward to that new Simone St. James! Hope you love it. I haven't read any memoirs. I rarely read non-fiction. I would like to read more. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your husband have a great time hiking. Have a great week!
DeleteI'm really looking forward to A Box Full of Darkness.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteI love celebrity memoirs too. The Book of Sheen was good and so was Priscilla Presley's Softly as I Leave You. XO
ReplyDeleteI'll check those two out. I think my library has them.
DeleteI don’t tend to read celebrity memoirs but I know Michael J Fox’s has been popular and Carrie Fisher’s memoirs are supposed to be juicy and funny.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week
Those sound like good memoirs, too. I hope you have a great week too!
DeleteI've enjoyed a few celebrity memoirs but don't do it often. Shonda Rimes was good and another guy, can't remember his name was in the West Wing and Brothers and Sisters.
ReplyDeleteShonda Rhimes sounds like a good one. Maybe you mean Robert Lowe, another memoir I'd like to listen to.
DeleteI am reading Polostan about a giirl who was born in Russia, moves to the Dust Bowl where she becomes part of the sociallast movement then after going back to Russia for an abortion after getting pregnant by her scientist lover and is tortured then recruited to be a spy.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like an interesting book.
DeleteIt has gotten cold here too and the cold is supposed to last for the whole week. Luckily, I have lots of books to keep me warm here at home. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI hope it warms up, but always good to have books to read. Stay warm!
DeleteBoth of those memoirs look amazing! I really enjoy both of those actors. The only celebrity memoir I’ve read was from Michael J Fox - No Time Like the Future. I don’t think it’s his only memoir, but it’s the only one I’ve read. I gave it 4/5 stars.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to see if my library has the Michael J. Fox book. They probably will.
DeleteMy daughter thinks they might get a touch of snow in NC. We have plenty here if you want some. :) Cranston's book sounds like it would be a wonderful read. Enjoy your week, Yvonne.

The Cranston book really is a good one. I hope you enjoy your week too!
DeleteI've seen bits of The Pitt on Doctor Mike where he talks about if the show is medically accurate. Looks like a pretty good show.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a good one.
DeleteEnjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteI did a quick scroll through my memoir shelf on Goodreads. I would recommend 700 Sundays by Billy Crystal, Drama by John Lithgow, As You Wish by Cary Elwes, Making It So by Patrick Stewart, and The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl by Issa Rae. I listened to most of these and they were fantastic.
ReplyDeleteIt was cold, it got warmer, now colder again. Winter as usual.
ReplyDeleteI need to watch the Pitt
