This book is packed with all your favorite animals and quirky characters from The Detective Whiskers Cozy Mystery Series, plus all the heartwarming charm and delightful surprises of a Hallmark Christmas movie. My Review

A popular TV crew descends on the small Florida town of Paradise Cove. Parrot Eyes Inn is ready to be used in whatever way it’s needed. Things take a nasty turn when the lead actress is found dead. Everyone is writing it off as an accident, but Detective Whiskers knows better. He just has to make everyone understand him.

Meanwhile, Whiskers’ human Sheila is finding herself in a possible romance. She and Whiskers moved to Paradise Cove two years ago after the death of her husband and Whiskers’ best friend. Now, they have built a new life for themselves, but Sheila doesn’t know if romance is in her future.

This is the 9th book of the series.  It was written in 2024, so I don’t know if there will be more. It felt like a finale, but I hope we get some kind of reunion soon.

I absolutely loved this series, and this particular book was one of my favorites. I know I’m reading it out of season, but Christmas in May is nice too. It’s a quick, “feel good” type of book.  By the last scene, my face was covered in tears. I can’t say enough how much I loved this book and the entire series. A very big thank you to the author for writing this wonderful story.
