Sunday/Monday Posts: September 18th and 19th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

The weather is starting to feel alot like autumn these days.  We may still get an occasional warm day, but overall the weather has been decent.

While I'm getting lots of requests for Christmas books, I'm more interested in putting together some Halloween books to read.  I love spooky, thriller type books.  I don't know how many I'll have a chance to read, if any, but I'm going to try and get some in.  Some of my cozy mysteries would probably even fall under this category since they are mysteries.  I listed the books I'm considering for Halloween reading.  Anyone have any to suggest?

The Fall TV season begins next week and I'm looking forward to it.  My DVR is set and ready to go :) Sunday night is the Emmy Awards.  I always love watching award shows.  I have no idea why, I just do.

On Netflix I started watching the new season of Wentworth.  It's another good one.  A new season of Longmire starts on Netflix this week too.  So many shows all at once.  Why do I think my reading is going to suffer?  LOL

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and doing whatever it is you want to do.  Have fun!

Yvonne

  1. Great books! I loved Then Again, although I would have liked more stories from Diane's life. I have another of her books, though, which should fill in those blanks.

I loved the new season of Wentworth, and can't wait for another. Longmire is another new passion.

I discovered Offspring, on Netflix, which I'm now hooked on. Australian show about a crazy family.

Enjoy your books and your shows. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  2. Wahoo for the fall tv season, we have been watching netflix. I have picked up holiday books, but checked with publisher to make sure reviewing them late November is ok...since they publish before.

  3. I'm looking forward to new shows too. Yay fall! And also spookier reads or thrillers- this time of year is perfect. The Black Cat looks great. Actually all four of those do!

Love that cover of the Bookshop on the Corner.

  6. I really like every book you've showcased today. LOL I'm trying not to grab to many holiday books, Christmas or Halloween, because I have so many already. Hard to resist some though:)
I'm catching up on some favorite TV shows and can't wait for a few new ones and some old favorites coming soon.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
