The Weekend Review - October 26th-28th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

As some of you know, I've been in the process of moving these past few weeks.  So, I've been MIA as far as my blog goes.  I continued to schedule the blog tour posts I was committed to.  Well, I'm now moved and, although I'm not anywhere near unpacked, I'm at least connected to the Internet and back to blogging.  Hopefully I'll be back to doing my weekly memes again.

I didn't complete too many books, though.  I've just been way too busy.  In the next few weeks I'll still be busy unpacking, but I'm hoping to get back on track.

The new house is great and I just need to add all my stuff to make it feel more like "home".  We moved to Florida so the weather is much warmer than New York.

I'm all hooked up with TV and Internet.  I already filled up my DVR and need to watch a few shows.  I just haven't had time, but I'll catch up.

So what's going on with you?  Anything new and exciting?

Yvonne

  1. I’m glad to hear you are finally in your new home!
I hope unpacking is less of a chore than packing and you settle in quickly

Wishing you a great reading week

  2. I'm glad that you are starting to settle in. I hope you love Florida. We live in Texas, with similar climate to Florida, and my daughter-in-law's mother, who has lived all her life in Chicago, is always telling us that we have more fun in Texas than they do!

Maybe this week will be the time you get back on track with your reading.

    Have a great week.

  3. Oh NY to FL is a huge move. I'm glad you like your new home. It takes a lot of time to unpack if you are like me and didn't get all the sort / throw done before the move. Hopefully you are better at it than me. Enjoy your new place and the warmer winter!

  5. Glad you are finally in, Yvonne - my word, that's a huge change in climate, if my understanding of US geography is correct... I hope you enjoy the warmer weather - I feel very jealous as I HATE the cold! All the best with the unpacking and hope you get a chance to put your feet up and unwind a bit - it can be an exhausting business. Have a great week.

  6. Those kitty books look fun. How did your kitties handle such a long ride? I hope they are all settled.

    1. They did very well. I was worried about them, but they were real troopers. A little crying, but they've never been in a car except to go to the vet and that was a very short ride. Still, I never want to make that trip again. They have already found their places in the house and are doing better than I am. LOL

  8. I'm glad to hear that the move was accomplished. Settling in is always fun. I hope you enjoy your new weather. A friend of mine is moving from Minnesota to Florida at the end of this week. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  9. If you got any reading done during a move I'm seriously impressed! I don't think you're ever fully unpacked after a move - at least not for the first year or so. I imagine Florida feels pretty nice after New York - especially this time of year! Have a great week and enjoy your reading.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
