My Review

Lila Hartley loves to solve puzzles, and she loves her job as Willow Creek’s librarian.  She’s always accompanied by her feline sidekick, Whiskers.  Together, they make a great puzzle-solving team.

When the town’s mayor is found dead, Lila finds herself facing the biggest puzzle of all.  The police are quick to chalk it up to natural causes, but Lila knows better.  She’s convinced they are wrong, and she intends to prove it.  Lila and Whiskers are off to find a killer.

This is a short book that keeps you guessing until the end.  There are several potential suspects to sort through.  Lila and Whiskers have a big job ahead of them, but they are determined to solve this case.

It’s an intriguing story with well-written characters.  I’m looking forward to reading the next one in the series.
