The Weekend Review - June 14th-16th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there.

How was your week?  Another slow one for me.  Next week will be a bit busier with medical appointments.

Are you all having nice weather? Hot weather? Cold weather?  Here, in Florida, it's hot which is to be expected.  I think it's going to be really hot for the next few days.  You can find me reading in a nice, air-conditioned room 😊Although, I seem to be wanting beach reads these days with covers that look very hot and sunny.  LOL

I've only been watching two TV shows.  The sequel to Criminal Minds and Transplant.  Both shows have been really good.  I only finished one book this week, but it was a good one.  Now I'm reading another in preparation for a blog tour.

Not too much else to talk about.  How was your week?  I hope everyone has a great week.

Here is this week's e-book freebie haul.  They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  3. Here in the south Louisiana swamps, our weather is just like your weather. In fact, usually our rain gets to you a day or so later.

    Enjoy your indoor activities!

  4. It has been a mixture of hot alternating with rainy here. I hope all your doctors' appointments go smoothly next week. I hope you will read and report back to us on The Busybody Book Club soon.

  5. We had more of the med appts this week. I hope yours go well. It's hot and rainy here. The rain is more like Florida than NC. At least I'm not having to water the garden but it makes it hard to find a time to mow with the grass wet most of the time.

  8. Weird weather here. Days of waling around in shorts followed by two days of cold enough to wear jackets. Your books sound good this week, Yvonne. Love how you have stayed focused on a particular genre. Thanks for sharing.

  9. It's very rainy here in New York and we don't expect the sun to return until mid- to later in the week. And the sun has been promised to bring hot, humid weather it.

I like the look of your current read and the books still in your June schedule. Hope you enjoy them all!

  11. It's funny because we celebrate Mother's Day at the same time as you but Father's Day isn't until September!

  13. We've been having a seemingly endless stretch of cool, grey days! I could do with more than a minute or two of sunshine a day. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  14. You've got some good books coming up for June! Our weather has been a bit colder and a bit rainier then usual for this time of year but it is staying consistently summer so that does feel like summer I guess. Have a great week!

  15. We've had warm and windy weather with occasional downpours. But the coming week is supposed to get hotter (upper 70s) with the wind swinging round from the south. Though we could do with more rain... Have a great week, Yvonne:).

  16. I hope you get to enjoy a lot of nice reading time this week and don't boil too much in the heat haha. I like the cover for Murder at Whisker's Bakery! The weather where I live is finally consistently warm and I am so happy :)
