The Weekend Review - June 7th-9th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

I hope everyone had a great week!  Nothing exciting going on over here, but that's probably a good thing.  I don't need excitement :)

I only managed to finish one book this week.  Hopefully I'll do better this week.  As for what I watched, I finished Dr. Odyssey.  It was better than I thought it would be.  They haven't announced if it's coming back next season or not.  I hope it is, but the season finale sounded more like a series finale.  I'm still watching Criminal Minds and Transplant.

Nothing special going on here this weekend.  It's hot and humid, so I'm inside blogging and catching up on my reading.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Here is this week's e-book freebie haul.  They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  1. You have quite a few books for your June reading. I hope that goes well.

It's hot (high of 90) and humid (93%) here, too.

  2. I only manage a book a week most months, being a slow and easily distracted reader. I'm currently also into audiobooks! Have a good week.

  3. I do love a boring week where all I get done is reading and blogging. Also gotta love freebie books. I do love that cover for What The Spell. Enjoy all your books. https://stuckinbooks.com/2025/06/07/stacking-the-shelves-6-7-25/

  5. yes the humidity has shown up this week and I'm not thrilled. I enjoyed Beach Reads & Deadly Deeds but it was more of a romance and less of a mystery than many of her other books.
