The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
A semi-busy week for me. I had a doctor's appointment, which went well. I had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory which was delicious and I'm going to see The Who in concert.
Last week I finished three books and this week I finished nothing. I seem to be reading slower these days. I have three more August books to finish and, theoretically, I should be able to get them read. However, there are no guarantees. It's so weird but when I'm really busy and have a full TV schedule, I seem to get more reading done. Oh well, there's always next week.
As I try to juggle my reading schedule, two library books that I had on hold arrived. I wasn't expecting them for a couple more months. I really want to read them and I hate to return them without reading. We'll see what I end up doing.
I hope everyone is doing well and away from any bad weather problems. They keep talking about a hurricane, but I think it's going out to sea. At least I hope so.
So, what is everyone reading or watching this week? I hope everyone has a great week!
I finished nothing this week! 😞
It's always the way - when we're madly busy we somehow managed to achieve so much! But I hope it means you are able to relax more. And I'm blown away to discover that The Cheesecake Factory actually exists - I thought it was made up by the creators of The Big Bang Theory... Have a great week, Yvonne:).
ReplyDeleteIt is inevitable for me that my library requests arrive when I do not expect them. I usually have five or six books going, but this week I actually finished the only book I was reading and I had nothing else lined up---eek!
ReplyDeleteThe Beatles cozy mystery series sounds awesome. I am going to read the 1st book ASAP.
ReplyDeleteWhen your week is not busy do you find yourself doing other task, because I do that sometimes instead of reading and when busy I take a break and read.
ReplyDeleteHope the Hurricane miss ya!

I think it's great that you're reading slower at the moment. I have a lot of fomo when it comes to books and I always want to read more, and faster, but I end up rushing through the books and not remembering them so I have to reread them again anyway. I'm going to have to pace myself better! Hope you're having a great weekend!

Unexpected library holds have a way of messing up my reading plans, too, lol!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with reading your books. I've been ahead but suddenly I'm only reading for the current week. I am reading a bunch of things not for review so it's my own fault / choices. Stay cool.

It's a good thing/bad thing when the library books come in earlier than expected, right?! I hope you are able to read them. We are watching old seasons of The Amazing Race right now. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGlad your dr. appt. went well. I haven't been to Cheesecake Factory in 6 years- I miss it, but the closest ones are an hour away. Have fun at the concert. XO
ReplyDeleteAt least we know we have plenty to read and won't run out when things get backed up this way. That was always a fear of mine when I was very young, I didn't know there were enough books everywhere to keep me occupied almost forever.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great week! My reading is slowing down as well. When I was in college (ages ago) our professors would tell the non-traditional students that the busier we are, the more we schedule our time and get things done. I still find that to be true for me. I finished A Dream Called Home by Reyna Grande – a definite fiver star read!
ReplyDeleteI am juggling library book due dates at the moment too!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I've been reading a lot slower lately too. It feels like audiobooks are my best chance at getting books read in a timely manner lately.

Have fun seeing The Who, Yvonne. I don't think we will get to see them, but sounds like a great concert. Bonnie Writes the Beatles books sound cute. Enjoy!

I hope the hurricane doesn't land. Yes just when you are not expecting them books on hold turn up. Hope you get to read them.
ReplyDeleteMy reading has been super slow this summer. I love The Cheesecake Factory and it's been too long since I've been there. Have a great week!
