This week, the topic is Books Guaranteed to Put an End to Your Book Slump. I don't have any specific books that help me deal with book slumps, but this is what helps me...
1. Reading a book from Miranda James' Cat in the Stacks series. It's a cozy mystery series featuring a Maine Coon cat named Diesel. This series always makes me smile and snaps me out of book slumps every time. The covers alone snap me out of my doldrums.
3. Reading novellas or short books can help get me out of a reading slump.
4. A cheerful or happy book can jump start my reading mojo.
5. Playing video games can also be a trigger for me to get out of a reading slump. Of course, it takes up hours of my time without me even realizing it. But when I'm done, I always feel like reading.
6. Watching a favorite TV show can also get me out of a slump. I guess because it takes me away from reading for awhile.
7. Staying away from sites like NetGalley or Edelweiss helps. It makes me too anxious about all the books I still have to read from them.
8. Strolling through book blogs. It helps reading which books everyone is enjoying and getting excited about. That makes me want to read.
9. Scrolling through my e-reader and seeing what books are there. It triggers me to want to read a few.
10. Lists of books...I love making lists of books and that makes me want to read more.
That's it. Sometimes nothing works and I just have to wait it out. I really dislike reading slumps.
What's on your list this week?

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
