The Weekend Review - September 20th-September 22nd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Another quiet week for me.  The weather hasn't been that great - humidity and rain once again.  The good thing is I finished two books this week.  I've been so lucky lately.  I had a string of 5 star reads.  I've been so lucky and enjoying all my reading.

As for what I'm watching, I recently binge-watched Severance.  It's a good show, but strange. There weren't many seasons, so I watched it pretty fast.  I'm not sure what I'll be watching next.  The regular shows will start coming back next week so I might not binge anything.  We'll see.

So, what have you all been up to?  Reading or watch anything good?  I hope everyone has a great week!

Upcoming books...

These are the books I still need to read in September. I doubt I'll finish them all.

Here is this week's e-book freebie haul.  They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  1. We were able to watch the first season of Severence on DVD from the library, but the next season is not available yet.

I wish we would get a little rain here. It always cools everything off.

  2. Murder and witches and cats, oh my! LOL Looks like a fun string of books to read and pick up ;) YAY on a bunch of five-star reads. I'm hoping one I have coming up will be. My non-fiction right now is good, but I don't think five stars I have to work with too hits the same.

  3. I canceled our Disney/Hulu bundle and paid for a year of Hallmark Plus. I watched a movie called Mystery Island which is basically a cozy mystery series set on an Island. It cooled off a little this weekend, but the humidity is making it still feel hot!

  4. Many places would love to have some rain. We could use some but I have appreciated the lower humidity we have lately. Yay for all the 5 star reads.

  8. The cat on Dash of Death looks like my Friday and apparently another commenter's cat too. :) We just found a new show on Hulu we like called High Potential.

  12. Glad to hear you are diving into great books, Yvonne. I love when I read a few books in a row that are stellar. Not as much reading as I would like in my world, but watching some Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman reruns lately. Hope you have a nice week.

  13. I’m glad you’ve been enjoying a 5 star reading streak. I’ve just finished binging all of the latest seasons of the shows I watch, now I’ll have to decide between starting something new or doing a rewatch.

    Wishing you a happy week

  16. I've only had the chance to see the first season of Severance. It really is a strange show, but I came to like it after not being sure of it at first. I am glad you have enjoyed your reading as of late! Have a great week, Yvonne!
