Sunday/Monday Posts - March 22nd and 23rd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

Spring is here!  So, why is everything covered in snow?  The first day of Spring = 6 inches of snow.  Crazy!  It's supposed to start getting warm so hopefully it will melt away.  I'm so ready for Spring to get here and the flowers to start blooming again.

I started spring cleaning this week and tossed alot of stuff, donated alot of stuff and I'm giving away some cozy mysteries from my shelf as well.  There's still time to participate in my Spring Cleaning Giveaway.  Just click the button in my sidebar and you can win a few of the books I love to read.

I'm pretty caught up on my TV watching so I can do a bit more reading.  My number one show these days seems to be The Walking Dead.  I love that show.  The Night Shift is also good.  Survivor is back and I'm enjoying that.  No matter how old the show gets, I still have fun watching.  There are other shows I'm enjoying, too.  Too many to name right now :)

This week we went to see Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.  It was so much fun.  They were appearing in NYC.  My original plans were to walk around the city before the concert, but it was just way too cold.  Oh well, that can be a day trip later on in the season.

Overall, a good week for me.  How about you?  Did you have a good week?

Yvonne

  1. Frankie Valli ! That reminds when I was a lot (ahem !) younger and went with my parents to see Grease at the movies, I bought the record afterward :) I almost haven't seen any snow during all winter, but spring is dragging its feet here too. Well, keep warm and enjoy your books !

  2. Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, I didn't think they were still around. That must have been fun. I'm eying your books in this post and I pretty much want them all. :D

We got about 2 inches of snow instead of 6 but it was still too much. I want spring! And the wind has been fierce the past week. But there is melting going on.:)

    Have a good week. :)

  5. I know you're probably sick of it, but I miss snow!
I plan on going to NYC in November and pray there is snow.

  6. Still covered in snow, eh? Sheesh! It's been low 70s - early 80s here for a couple weeks... We of Georgia call this "spring weather" which we usually don't get in between winter and summer. Snow Way Out is a cute and seemingly accurate title for you :D

  9. I'm drooling over all of the cozies! So addicted to them.
They were right when they said it would be a long winter. I've stopped by a lot of posts today and many are saying the same thing you are. I hope it melts and warms up soon.

  13. I had a great weekend, too! Went out at night for the first time since Christmas. Still 6" or more snow here, but at least I can get out on the paths and roads.
You've got some goodies here to add to my TBR.

  14. I also really want Spring to arrive. We had 8 inches of snow yesterday and a snow day today. While I appreciate the extra reading time, I don't look forward to rearranging my calendars to get everything done at school. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
