Sunday/Monday Posts: June 21st and 22nd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I'm doing okay this week.  My father is still in the hospital...thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers for him.  It means so much to me. I will be spending Father's Day at the hospital with him.

I'm still reading Beach Town but not because the book is slow.  I'm enjoying it but I had to stop to make sure I completed a blog tour book first.  Now, I'm going back to it.

We're having terrible, rainy weather this weekend.  Plus, it's humid.  Yuck!

I wish all the fathers out there a Happy Father's Day!!!!

I wish you all a great week!

Yvonne

  1. Enjoy your time with your Dad, even if it does take place in the hospital. :-)

  2. So sorry to hear your dad's still in hospital. I know it's probably the best place for him and means he's being taken care of but I know (from more limited experience) it can be really draining.

    I hope you've had a nice Father's Day.

  3. I'm sorry your dad is at the hospital during that special day, but at least he's being taken care of and has you to keep him company :) I'll start reading a Lynn Cahoon book next week, it will be my first ! I must say that the title "When the balls drop" along with the face on the guy on the cover made me laugh, I shouldn't but I couldn't help it ! Take care, Yvonne *hugs*

  4. I am glad you get to spend father's day with your dad - even in a hospital - or maybe especially since he is in the hospital, it is good that you are with him.

  6. Rain and high temperatures are not a good combination! Everything just turns into a sauna. So sorry to hear your father is still in the hospital but hope you have a nice day with him and that he is better soon. Have a great week!

  8. *hugs* Best wishes for your dad and I hope he's home soon. It sounds like you had the same weather I did, blergh. I hope it cools and dries up, maybe a dry, breezy 75? I'd like that. :)

I hope you have a good week!

  10. We've had close to the 100 degree mark all week with no rain and the humidity wasn't too bad either. Just so hot it hurts to breathe. LOL I hope you were able to enjoy your time with your father for Father's Day:)
