Sunday/Monday Posts - May 27th and 28th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

We are having beautiful weather for the holiday weekend here.  It definitely feels like the unofficial start of the summer.  I do love the summer.

I've been trying to juggle books lately.  Not because I'm in a book slump, but because I want to read everything NOW!  LOL  All the books coming across my desk look so good and I can't wait to dig in. Unfortunately, I can't really concentrate on more than one book at a time especially if they are in the same genre.  Do any of you read more than one book at a time?  The best I can do is read one and listen to something else on audio, but I only listen to audios in the car.

I picked up a few more Kindle freebies.  Those always look so good.  I do need to find time to read them.

I'm still trying to catch up on my TV shows.  I really enjoyed Survivor's season finale and was happy with the outcome.  I can't believe after all these years I'm still enjoying this show, but I am.  Once I watch all my shows on DVR, then I'll see what, if anything, I watch during the summer.

It's been a quiet week overall.  How has your week been?  See any good TV shows or movies?  Read anything good?

Yvonne

  1. Great books this week. I wish they gave us books a few months ahead of time. It always seems like a few weeks and sometimes I just don't have time like that. I am loving our weather too. Finally sunny!

  3. I usually listen to an audio in my car, read a print and sometimes add a ebook to them. I'm doing all three now.

I never watched Young & Hungry so I started binge watching it a few days ago. It's pretty funny.

  4. I attempt book polygamy occasionally, but I’m not very good at it. I never know which book to pick up, and I feel like it takes me forever to finish anything. Enjoy your new books!

  5. I usually only read one book and listen to one. And I try to not have them as the same genre. But I'm in a funny mood right now, although it is partially I am reading some freebies and I never like to DNF but I'm not sure I want to read it all, so I move on and later I might go back or I might DNF. Tours are hard because they often don't get the book to you until it's a short time frame. I review quite a bit of audio and if you do the review by release date, it is often a very short time frame also. Anne - Books of My Heart

  6. I've read only a couple Rhys Bowen books and really liked them. I usually have an audiobook, print book, and ebook going at the same time.

  7. I'm almost always a one-book-at-a-time reader. If I do juggle two they have to be different genres. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  10. I really want to buy Karen White's book, but I have so many unread ones here. I downloaded some freebies today. I guess the 500 other ones I have aren't enough. :) Enjoy your week.
