Book Beginnings on Fridays/The Friday 56 - November 1st

This is a fun meme to do hosted by Freda's Voice. If you'd like to join on the fun go to The Friday 56.

Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader.
*Find any sentence that grabs you.
*Post it.
*Link it here.

It's that simple.

I'm also joining in Book Beginnings on Friday. It's hosted by Rose City Reader.

I've been absent from the weekly memes for the past couple of months.  As I get settled into my new house, I'm starting to get more involved in blogging again.

I just started reading this one...

Beginnings...

My foot slammed on the brakes.  As the tires squealed, my huge tan leather purse flew to the floor with a thud.  Pens spilled, and a lipstick bounced neatly into the passenger-side door pocket like the prize-winning beanbag in a game of vehicle cornhole.  I quickly looked in the rearview mirror.  Thank goodness it was early morning and there were no witnesses to my less-than-spectacular driving.

From 56% on my e-reader...

I always needed to clean out my purse - or as I sometimes thought of it, my portable office.

  1. My purse keeps collecting random things that I technically need, but not really xD I hope you're enjoying your new house! Have a lovely weekend and do drop by my Friday Post if you have the time!

  6. Yay new house! I'm sure you're house will look moved in sooner than mine...which still looks like I moved in recently 2 years later.

Also this sounds like my purse before I started using little pouches to 'organize' everything.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
