First Chapter Tuesdays/Teaser Tuesdays - March 17th

Every Tuesday Vicki at I'd Rather Be At the Beach hosts First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros, where we share the first paragraph or (a few) of a book we are reading or thinking about reading soon. Care to join us?

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, now being hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This is the 3rd book in a series that I've been reading. It looks like fun.

First Chapter...

"Heel, Butterscotch." I pulled on the Border terrier's leash, and the dog joined me at my side again. She looked longingly at the squirrel darting away toward one of the trees on Main Street, then gazed up at me with pleading eyes.

"Fine," I said with a laugh. "Here's your reward for not going after that squirrel."

To be honest, I didn't see a problem with living at home until my mid-twenties, but my mom did. She claimed it would be unhealthy for me if I kept living there.

What do you think? Would you keep reading?

  1. Yvonne, thanks so much for deciding to take over this Tuesday feature; I appreciate that it will continue.

This book sounds cute. Hope you are enjoying it.

  2. Hmm, I do like the sound of this one. I already feel a connection to the character and her dog.

Here's mine: “BEEN THERE, MARRIED THAT”

  3. I'm loving all the fun books this week. We're all seem to be into escape!

  4. Oh that dog is just too cute for words!

I have a twenty odd year old still living at my house LOL

    Here's my Tuesday post!

    Take care!

  5. That dog is so cute! I would keep reading!

  6. I'm very much on her mom's side there! This sounds like a fun read.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
