The Weekend Review - September 12th-14th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Another busy blog week...I had posts every day.  Next week looks like a busy one too.  If nothing else, it keeps my mind off things that are happening in the world around us.

I only finished one book this week, but it was a good one.  I'm currently reading a new-to-me author Elena Taylor.  It's really good so far.

I finished watching the Netflix series Away which I really liked.  It was only 10 episodes so it went really fast.  I'm hoping it comes back for a second season.

Everything is still pretty quiet here.  I hope you all have a great week!  Stay safe!

  1. I watched the first episode of Away and thought it was really well done. Definitely looking forward to watching more.

What a beautiful cover for All We Buried.

    Have a great weekend!

  2. You have been busy, with blog tours every day. I'm glad you finished a book, too. Like you say, we need distractions.

We are on Season 7 of Seinfeld, and watching all those old shows has been fun. I think we are getting close to the end, so I'll be looking for other ideas soon. Thanks for sharing Away.

I hope you have a good week!

  3. Hi Yvonne! I'm constantly looking for new series on Netflix. Will check Away out a bit.

Glad you enjoyed your book this week. I hardly ever read more than one book a week during school terms, but I always make sure it's a good one.

Have a good week with excellent hair! Read my post to understand... The Sunday Post #11

  4. I have Away on my Netflix queue, but I got caught up in the Prime show of The Good Wife...and I may watch all of that before going into a new series.

Enjoy your books and your week!

  5. Yes, blogging and reading does keep our minds busy. We can't focus on all the negative happening around us. I was curious about AWAY and I think I'll give it a try. Enjoy your new books!

  6. Posting every day of the week is a great thing. I hope you are giving yourself some rest. I am yet to watch Away but the actor from Suits, so I might give it a chance.

  7. Yes - I also was impressed with the first episode of Away. Let's hope that it stays believable! Checked Out for Murder looks like fun. I hope that you enjoy the coming week and have plenty of great reads.

  8. What a busy blogging week. I am lucky if I get three blog posts published. This week has been a real hard one for me. Hoping the weather and my mood change this coming week. My Sunday Salon post

  9. I'm almost done with Checked Out for Murder and am enjoying it. I love that series! I need to check out Away. We are relying on streaming services and always looking for something new to watch! Hope you have a good week.

  10. We were trying to only watch one Away a night, but we ended up watching 2 last night and probably will again tonight. We have seen 5 so far, it is good. I can't imagine anyone being willing to leave their family for 3 whole years.

  11. Sounds like things are going good and your busy on the blog. :)

Have a great week and happy reading!

  12. Away is in my queue, I got distracted by a quiz show this past week.

Wishing you a great reading week

  13. I see Elizabeth from Silver Reviews is reading the Lisa Unger book this week. She writes suspense/thrillers doesn't she. I haven't read her but readers of that genre enjoy her. All the best for this week.

  14. I’m hoping to watch Away soon, it looks good.

    Enjoy your new reads!

  15. You have some good looking books on your list.

  16. I'm glad you liked Away! It's on my list but hadn't heard much about it yet. So yay! Confessions on the 7:45 looks good! Happy reading and blogging!

  17. I just got Netflix for the first time, so I’ve been watching a lot of it. My reading and blogging are suffering, but I’m enjoying TV. I hope you have a good week!
