The Weekend Review - October 24-26th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Hi Everyone!  Happy Weekend!

I'm getting a late start posting this.  Things have been relatively quiet again this week, which is always good with me.   It's been heavily raining all week here.  It's not really a big deal since we have no plans to go anywhere anyway.

We had to take my kitty Cookie back to the vet again.  Her asthma was acting up.  She needed another shot and they gave us more meds to give her at home.  Hopefully our weather will change and maybe that will help her asthma.  We have to bring her back on Monday so the vet can check her out yet again.

I only finished one book this week, but it was wonderful - Christmas at Farmhouse.  My review will be up later in the week.

I'm looking forward to This Is Us returning this week.  I'm not sure what other shows will be coming back, but I always enjoy This Is Us.

How was your week?  Anything interesting going on?

  1. Christmas at the Farmhouse does sound so good. Reading one really good book is the best kind of week.

  2. Hopefully kitty is feeling better soon! There's been quite a lot of rain here too, and we are having a wintery blast. It's nice when we do get a warmer day. Of course, it will be too warm soon!

  3. Aw I am sorry to hear about your poorly kitty, Yvonne - I hope they'll feel better soon! 🙏 My cat has been loving life, as I have had to be at home self-isolating for two weeks, so she has had me all to herself! 😻 Take care and happy reading. 👋📚😃

  5. I hope your vet was able to help your cat. It's always difficult when our animals are not well.

We could use a little rain here, but I'm not praying for it. Not until hurricane season is over.

Ah. Christmas, yes. Farmhouse, yes. This sounds like a restful read.

    Enjoy your week!

  7. I hope the meds start working and Cookie feels better soon. Yes... we are having sudden, blustery showers at present, so I'm glad I'm mostly indoors, again! I hope the coming week is another quiet one, Yvonne:))

  8. The weather here was a bit indecisive this week. Literally sunny and 60-70 one day, 40-50 and cloudy/rainy the next all week. It's fall, I guess.
