The Weekend Review - September 11-13th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Another week has flown by.  My reading seems to be slowing down, though.  I only read one book this week.  Part of the reason for that is that I've been binge-watching The Yard on Netflix and finished the series.  It was really good.  I have to watch the last few episodes of Grace and Frankie now.

I've been busy with blog tours, though.  Most of them are spotlights and don't need a review.  I picked up a few Kindle freebies.  Most seem to be romances this week.  A bit of a change from my mysteries and thrillers, but I'm not sure when I'll have a chance to read any of them.

Now that I finished The Yard, I hope to find more reading time this week.  I hope you all have a great week.  Take care and stay safe.

  1. I've been binging a few shows as well so my reading is down as well. It seems to go in cycles lol.

Last Seen Alone looks interesting. Now that we're into fall I'm starting to want to read thrillers again...

  4. My reading has slowed, especially my reading of fiction. Yesterday I sadly set aside a book I'd been looking forward to reading for months. I'm not sure why. Instead of reading meaty books, I've been resorting to some light reads.

Maybe I need to try some cozies. I love the look of Incantation of Cats. It looks delightful.

  7. I'm the opposite this week. Found an author I like and have been turning the TV OFF and reading nonstop. I have no idea when things will go back to normal for me.

So are all the episodes of Grace & Frankie out yet? I'm waiting until the season is complete to start on it.

  8. I haven't been watching a lot of tv at all over the last two weeks. The gaps that I have between school and life, I try to read. But gosh - there isn't much of that either!

Love all the kitty books. Happy reading this week Yvonne and enjoy the spotlights.

  9. I've been having some slow weeks as well with reading. Although I did a little better this week. But I've got to pick up for the many review tours I have coming up. That Four Last Dates looks good! I'm going to go see if it is still free. Have a great week!
