The Weekend Review - September 25th-27th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all having a great weekend.  Nothing much new is going on here.  I'm just enjoying a quiet weekend.  Here the weather alternates between humid and rainy.  I'm staying inside with my lovely a/c :)

I only finished one book this week.  I'm back to watching TV shows since they returned this week.  One of my favorite returns was The Resident this week.  Also, Survivor returned.  The shows were good, but my TV mojo isn't back quite yet.  I think I got out of the mood for TV.  We'll see...I'll probably get caught back up in  no time :)

I did finish watching Grace and Frankie on Netflix.  I love that show.

Nothing else exciting going on here.  I hope everyone has a great week.  Stay safe.

  1. This week I will probably be busier with watching TV too (I stream everything so I usually have to wait a week to watch a show). Scones with the Wind looks cute. Check out what I read at Girl Who Reads

  2. The scene with the wind looks good. Yes, sometimes the less drama the better. Although I'll take theater drama any day (wink)

  3. Since I went to just streaming tv, my tv mojo left...lol. I haven't seen a new weekly tv show in what seems like forever. I don't even care any more. I just find something on one of my apps to watch, but mostly I just use tv as background noise and watch reruns of Murder She Wrote on Peacock...lol.

Have a great week and happy reading!

  4. I have done a lot of streaming in the past two years, but now I have more TV channels in my new place...and a DVR!

I, too, LOVE Grace and Frankie...and we are in the last season. Sigh. I guess we could start at the beginning and watch it again!

Enjoy your week, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES

  5. All of a sudden, we have found a half dozen good shows, and we love it. We've been watching Gilmore Girls (first time); Star Trek Next Generation (rewatching); Only Murders in the Building; and several more.

A Perfect Bind looks fun. I had to explain to my book group this week what cozy mysteries are! Crazy, right?!

  6. Curious about some of the new shows that are coming up this fall - if it's a crime/police procedural type then I'll have to check it out. And, that cover for the cozy mystery is so cute. Hope you have a great week ahead!

  7. I've been watching more TV this week too. And thank goodness for AC, right?

Love the look of Last seen Alone. I'm trying to get a list of thrillers or suspenseful reads to read for fall...

    Have a great week!

  8. Glad you had a nice quiet week. As the days get shorter, we always tend to watch more TV.

The Beloved Bookroom series has been on my radar, I'll be interested what you think of A Perfect Bind.

    Have a good week!

  11. I have the Laura Griffin on my TBR> I love a good suspense. How did people live in the south without a/c?? I like hot weather but I'm not sure I could take it with no break. Have a great week!

  12. Wish I could get into watching some shows, I have good intentions! I wasn't going to watch Virgin River but I have gone back to it. Now to maintain!!

  13. Hope you have another good week this week!

  14. I tend to wait until there are a couple of episodes of a new season to watch, streaming has spoilt me for the long wait between weekly shows.

Wishing you a great reading week

  15. I had a quieter weekend than planned. Haven't really stayed on top of new or returning shows. It seems when I get invested in one, they cancel it. Always bums me out.

I hope you enjoy Dad. I didn't have time for it in my schedule, but it sounds wonderful. Scone with the Wind sounds like the perfect seasonal cozy.

    Hope you enjoy your books.

  16. I'm still watching baseball mostly. After the season is over, I'm not sure the television will even be turned on. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
