The Weekend Review - March 19th-21st

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

It continues to be hot and humid in Florida, but I've still been able to get in some walking.  I figure I'll keep going until it really gets too hot out there.

It's been a rather slow blog week for me.  Next week will be kind of slow too.  I only finished one book this week, but it was a really good one.  I'm starting to like the chick lit/women's fiction genre again.  I've mostly been reading cozy mysteries and thrillers, but this book has me wanting to read lighter books.

I'm glad to see baseball has returned.  I'm looking forward to that.  I'm still watching The Blacklist and enjoying it.  I just started watching a new show called The Endgame which is good and similar to The Blacklist.

Other than that, it's been a very quiet week here.  I hope you are all having a great week.  Stay safe!  Take care!

  1. It was pleasantly warm here this week. Until the weekend, when it cooled off again. But we never get the humidity you do in Florida. I don't even you that at all.

  2. I liked checking out your post today with its eclectic assortment. The one about Canada sounds quite intriguing and so different. And I do also like to read women's fiction between my mysteries. Thanks for sharing all these!

  3. I haven't listened to a book in a while. The Wrong Victim looks like a good one.

  4. Your books look good. Enjoy! The walking in the hot weather doesn't sound appealing to me, but I guess warmer weather is better than cold.

Have a great week, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES

  6. It's the opposite of hot and humid here. I'm waiting for it to stop snowing so I can walk more. Have a great week!

  7. The weather I've experienced over the last two weeks has been remarkable. I'm glad you've been able to get in some walking despite the heat and humidity.

I've been reading both extremes---very light and very thoughtful---lately. It's fun for me to alternate these a bit.

  8. Other than the humidity, I'm jealous of your weather. It's still cold-ish in my neck of the woods. I wish it would warm up a little bit so we had spring weather for a bit. It's probably going to be only one week of spring weather and then straight to the blazing dry heat of summer. Oh well, I guess.

Lots of good books Vickie Delany is one author I've wanted to try.

I like mysteries and police procedurals but lately have enjoyed some women's fiction genre. Imogen Clark was my last author.

  14. We have just got through our humid weather, so hard to sleep in. I couldn't cope with Florida weather. Hope your reading goes well. I have only started to enjoy cozy mysteries but I like when a series gets going and the characters are worth it.

  15. Yay for baseball! I've been bouncing off chick lit/women's fiction and have decided not to read in that genre. I want a mystery or something else to happen in a book. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  16. It's hard to think about places being warm and humid already. Enjoy! My Monday reading list

  17. Our temperature is going up but luckily the humidity hasn't kicked in yet. I'm enjoying being outside without it! I've been suffering from a little genre fatigue with cozy mysteries and women's fiction has really been appealing to me. Have a wonderful week!

  18. It’s autumn here and so far the weather has been quite nice, though the humidity creeps up at night.

Wishing you a great reading week
