About the Book
Synopsis from Goodreads:
When Morgan Daniel’s husband dies in a fiery plane crash hundreds of miles from where he was supposed to be, the grief is overwhelming—but the questions are worse. Why was Tyler flying to Oklahoma on a day he was supposed to be at the office? Who was the unidentified woman on board with him? And what else had he been hiding?
With her world upended, Morgan returns to her small hometown of Trinity Springs, Texas, with her twin daughters in tow. Surrounded by familiar faces and the comfort of family, she begins piecing together her shattered life. But as the layers of Tyler’s secrets begin to unravel, what she discovers could change everything she thought she knew.
The deeper Morgan digs, the more unsettling the truth becomes—forcing her not only to confront Tyler’s betrayal and her own grief but to test her strength and her faith. Jeff Barnes, the steady, loyal friend she once overlooked, stands at her side. His quiet strength helps anchor her through the storm and reminds her that love sometimes waits in the most unexpected places.
My Review
You never know what will happen next in life and Morgan Daniels is proof of that. Her husband is killed in a plane crash on his way to Oklahoma with a strange woman. Morgan has no clue why he was on that plane or anything about the woman. Now, she’s left behind with twin daughters and many unanswered questions.
She moves back to her hometown of Trinity Springs, Texas to stay with her parents. They help her and the twins through the grieving process. Being back home means she has a chance to catch up with old friends. One of those old friends is Jeff Barnes. They used to be classmates, and she never really noticed him. Now, she sees what a good guy he is, not to mention very handsome.
As Morgan slowly uncovers the secrets of her late husband, Jeff is right by her side. He’s there for her and her daughters every step of the way.
This is a beautifully written tale of a family coping with a tragic loss. The story of one woman’s strength and how she lives through the most difficult crisis of her life. Finding Home grabs your heart and doesn’t let go. It’s poignant, heartwarming and will bring a few smiles as well as tears. This is an uplifting, inspirational book.
Although this is book #4 in the Trinity Springs series, it can be read as a standalone. Some characters from previous books do make cameo appearances but there are no cliffhangers, and it isn’t necessary to read the books in order. I do have to say, though, each book is so well crafted. I’ve enjoyed them all. They are a joy to read.
