The Weekend Review - January 24th-26th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

I hope all those in the path of the major storm sweeping the US are safe and everyone is okay.

It's been a quiet week for me.  I finished two books and finished listening to another audiobook.  I think I finally found my niche as far as audios go.  I do much better with memoir type books.  I've enjoyed both that I've listened to, so far.  My library has a treasure trove of audios for me to borrow.  Thanks to all of you with your audio suggestions.  I'll be adding them all to my list.

I've been watching my usual shows - The Pitt, Chicago Med, PD and Fire, and 911.  All were good.

Not too much else is happening.  I hope you all have a great week!

Stay safe and warm!

  2. Enjoy your audiobooks, you're right about finding a niche. The Bryan Cranston one looks good. I like romances and easy to follow crime mysteries on audio. The storm is here by me now we're supposed to get 12 inches or so. Enjoy your week!

    1. Romances would probably be good for me on audio. I'll have to try those. I've tried mysteries, but I tend to lose tract of it. I hope you are okay in the storm. Have a great week!

  4. I try to have an ebook, a regular book, and an audio going most of the time. Right now, I am reading quite a few at once, and that works for me, however odd it may seem to others. lol

It's great that you figured out what kind of audiobooks you like best.

    1. lol I can just do one book at a time, but I can do an ebook and an audio at the same time. That's working for me at the moment.

  7. Yay for figuring out which audiobooks work best for you. I love ones that have humor. I don't think I have tried to listen to a memoir, but it's a great idea. Have a wonderful week!

  8. I like memoirs on audiobook, especially when the author narrates it themselves. I really need to get started on that series by Jennifer Chow. I have the first book. Have a great week! :)
