This week's topic is Buzzwords or Phrases That Make Me Want to Read (or Avoid) a Book. I had to put on my thinking cap for this one, but I finally came up with a list. The book listed for each example are books I already read or want to read.
1. Anything that features a cat. If you are a regular reader on my blog, you knew this was coming. Usually, the books are in the cozy mystery genre.
2. Cruising books. Probably my second favorite. I love cruising, but I can't go as often as I would like, so this is the next best thing.
3. Medical related books I've always been fascinated with the medical field so this always grabs my attention. If it's set in a hospital, even better.
4. Books about a mansion or a scary house These have been a favorite for years. I used to love gothic romances, but I have since expanded to suspense and thrillers, too. What better buzzwords for this category than Asylum Hotel?
5. Baseball romances or mysteries I know hockey and football seem to have the most fictional books, but I'm a baseball girl. If I see any romances and mysteries set around baseball, I'm there for it.
6. An island getaway type What can be better and more relaxing than an island vacation...well, okay, for me a cruise but I wouldn't turn down an island trip either.
7. Older characters Since I'm an older character, LOL, I like to read about more mature people. They get into some crazy situations and say such funny things. The Golden Girls are a perfect example of this.
8. Snowed in/Storms While I hate this in real life, I do enjoy fiction settings with snow or any kind of storms.
9. Amnesia Another trope I've always found interesting.
10. Twins These can be fun or annoying, but twins have been a genre I like.
What's on your list this week?

I do like a story set on an Island or about an Island vacation, that sounds fun :) ! And I appreciate books with older characters too, so tired of reading about the 16 year olds on epic adventures lol.

While I wouldn't read one, the idea of baseball romances makes me think of that line from Moneyball....."How can you not be romantic about baseball?"
