The Weekend Review - June 27th-29th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

So, how has your week been? Nothing new here. Same old stuff. Not much is happening here. Tomorrow we may go to the pool.  We have a few things to do around the house, but then we can just relax.

As far as reading goes, I had a pretty good month in June.  I read 7 books and 4 of them I gave 5 stars to.  That's pretty good.  I'm hoping the rest of the summer will be good for reading too.

Not much else is happening around here. It's quiet as usual. What's going on in your world?

hope everyone has a great week!

Yvonne

These are the books I have left for June (I'll be carrying them over to August) ...

Here is this week's e-book freebie haul.  They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  1. Sounds like a great month for reading! I hope July's books treat you well too.

It's been too hot here, but I've been doing okay thanks to portable air conditioning (rare in the UK, but luckily we bought a couple units to cope with a ridiculously hot flat a couple years ago, and still have them). I got quite a bit of reading done while cooped up inside!

  2. I'll have to look up The House Wife. The cover looks intriguing. It's been quiet around here now that I'm not traveling like crazy.

  3. I haven’t had a five star this past month but I’ve had a few that came close.
Thanks for sharing your week, happy reading!

  8. That's great you had such good books to read. We haven't been to our neighborhood pool yet but it is warm enough now.

  10. Quiet times are the best. 5 star reads are also the best. Hope this week goes well.

  11. I could do with going to the pool. It would be fine while I was in the pool but the walk to the car it way too cold for us right now!

    Have a great week!
