The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
How has your week been? It's been a quiet week here. We've had some dreary, gray weather but we also had a couple of sunny, warm days. So it was a mix of things.
I only finished two books this week. That seems to be my average these days. Both were good. Now I'm in 1969 reading Lost in the Summer of '69. Very good. I was young then, but I so love reading about the 60's and 70's.
We went to the movies which we haven't done in a long time. We usually prefer to watch at home, but we decided to get out for a few hours. We saw the movie Backrooms. It's a thriller and very weird. I'm still trying to figure out what it meant.
That's about it from here. I hope you all have a great week!
I hope you all have a great week!

I shall make a note of some of these. On holiday very soon and unusually don't have several books ready to read!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since we've been in a movie theater. We usually watch on TV too.

Glad to see you went to the movies reading that reminded me that I did that as well this week and saw the breadwinner!
ReplyDeleteA supurr selection, we've already downloaded some to our kindle - thank mew furry kindly for the recommendations! 🐾😸🐾
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen a movie in the theater since Christmas 2019. I also prefer to watch them at home, streaming or borrowing DVDs from the library, but sometimes it's nice to get out. Have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven’t been to the movies in forever.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your week.
I've been struggling with reading lately but I think I"m finally getting back on track. I've heard good things about Backrooms. I can't remember the last time I saw a movie but I need to go back to the theater soon! Have a great week and enjoy your reading.
ReplyDeleteA quiet week with some good books sounds amazing. Hope it's another great one.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I've been slower than I used to with reading too, but as long as we're enjoying ourselves, right?
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week!
So cool you had fun at the movies! Have a great week, Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteI always think I'd like to go to a movie but never move myself to do so, or rarely anyway. Two books a week is rather good really.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to go to the movies. Two books a week is great. Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen a movie in years. In fact, I can't remember the last one I saw in a theater, but I do know that the theater recently closed. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI love reading about the 1960s too. It was an interesting time period. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteClaws, CLues and a Deadly Detour looks good. XO
ReplyDeleteI haven’t been to a movie since the early 1990’s, it’s just too much for me. I have no objection to other people going, however, and my kids used to love to go. I can’t tell you how often I was dropping a load of kids at the theater.
ReplyDeleteI was six in 1969, I should read this just to find out what it was like for the teens then, although I’ve heard the stories.
2 Books a week is still a LOT. I'm lucky if I read two books a month.
