The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
I hope those in the U.S., who celebrate July 4th, had a great day and are having a great holiday weekend. My kitties find the fireworks a bit challenging, but they are surviving. The fireworks start here several days before the 4th and go for several days after. Our weather has been alternating between hot and wet. The rain doesn't cool anything off here and doesn't stop the fireworks either.
I finished one book this week and it was another good one. I've really been lucky lately with good books. I just wish I could read faster.
It's been pretty quiet here. I just can't believe we are already in July. It's hard to believe half the year is over already.
I hope everyone has a great week!
Yvonne

Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Same to you!
DeleteI just saw Purranormal Activity somewhere and thought it looked so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the series. I'm looking forward to reading this.
DeleteHappy 4th of July! We had very few firecrackers/fireworks for Canada Day and I’m glad as we are so dry here. I have the Cleeton book on my summer TBR too and I’m sure we will both enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI'm halfway through the Cleeton book and enjoying it. I hope you like it too.
DeleteI wish I could read faster, too. So many books, so little time! Fireworks around here started a day or two before the 4th. They were in the distance. I could hear them, but not see them. I guess they're far enough away that my cats aren't bothered by them, thankfully. It can be a difficult holiday for our fur family. Have a great week. :)
ReplyDeleteSome fireworks were really loud here. The kitties were not happy. At least it's all over now. Even if we get a few more tonight it won't be that loud anymore. You have a great week too!
DeleteI only heard two small firecrackers go off last night, but my husband couldn't sleep because of all of the fireworks! I guess I was just exhausted and fell into a deep sleep. I always read fast when I'm reading a good book.
ReplyDeleteThe fireworks were loud here. Some were really pretty. I could see them from our house.
DeleteTime really is flying!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your week, happy reading!
Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th. And you look like you are booked for the week. Happy reading
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July. Same here, the fireworks start a few days before and keep going for days. And the heatwave doesn't stop anyone. Enjoy your week, I've wanted to read Chanel Cleeton.
ReplyDeleteHot and wet? Sounds like summer to me. I hope you had a blessed Independence Day.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a nice 4th. This year is flying by. XO
ReplyDeleteIt's the same for Bonfire Night here in the UK... our bunnies struggle with it, but we manage just about. Hope your kitties are doing okay!
ReplyDeleteOur dog hates fireworks, too. They are still going off in NC. Hopefully, that wraps up soon. Looks like some good books on your list. Hope you enjoy them!

The House Wife sounds creepy - but it is calling to me! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNice looking assortment of books. I did hear some fireworks but not very many in my neighborhood. Our weather was hot for a couple of days but is gorgeous now. It is 70 and sunny right now at 11AM. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteFireworks for animals certainly are not fun. Great reading, yes wouldn't it be great to be able to scan read, get the full book experience and move to the next!
ReplyDeleteYay for being lucky with books so far
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a happy 4th! My cat isn't a big fan of fireworks either but thankfully my dog doesn't mind them. I'm so curious to see what you think about the Chanel Cleeton. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI used to read fast and now I can't keep up these days. Lulu was asleep next to me and didn't even stir when the fireworks went.
