This week's question...
God* comes to you and tells you that, from this day forward, you may only read ONE type of book–one genre–period, but you get to choose what it is. Classics, Science-Fiction, Mystery, Romance, Cookbooks, History, Business … you can choose, but you only get ONE.
What genre do you pick, and why?
*Whether you believe in God or not, pretend for the purposes of this discussion that He is real.
My answer...Only one genre??? My reading is so varied, but I would have to pick mystery. At the moment, that's my favorite genre and the one I would choose to read. I guess suspense and thriller would be a separate genre. Those would be an awfully close second as would romance. Mmmmm...okay mystery is my final answer.
What's yours?

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!
After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.

First - SO love the picture!! I am jealous!!!
ReplyDeleteAs for the question - after a hard few minutes I chose thrillers too.

Thankfully we are not being asked to choose! LOL. I might choose classics because within that genre are a variety of genres.
ReplyDeleteLOL! *picture first* I don't know that I'm jealous but I imediately heard Robin Williams as The Genie, "Ten thousand years will give you such a crick in the neck."
ReplyDeleteMysteries are popular today!
My BTT is here.
Mystery is a good choice because there is so much variety!
ReplyDeleteHere is my BTT answer on Rose City Reader.
This question is too difficult... I really cannot choose one single genre. I might pick mystery myself if the alternative was not reading at all. :)
ReplyDeleteTough question, especially at this moment, when I'm feeling indecisive. I think I'd choose the classics, if I had to choose, because then I'd read great literature.
