This is a fun meme hosted by Alyce at At Home With Books.
Each week I am featuring one of my favorite reads from the past.

Since I'm reading the most recent book in James Patterson's Women's Murder Club series, I decided I would feature the first book in this series...
Synopsis:
As the only woman homicide inspector in San Francisco, Lindsay Boxer has to be tough. But nothing has prepared her for the honeymoon murders. A brutal maniac begins a killing spree, slaughtering newlywed couples, and Lindsay takes on the case. She is sickened by the deaths, but her determination to bring the murderer to justice is threatened by a personal tragedy. So she turns to Claire, a coroner, Cindy, a journalist, and Jill, an attorney, for help with both crises: and the Women's Murder Club is born.
Why I chose this one:
I absolutely love this series from the first book until the most recent, #9. I love watching these characters grow from the beginning. Some good things happen, some very bad but it feels like these are old friends that I'm re-visiting.
I watched the short-lived Women's Murder Club TV series on ABC and I thought it was good, but nothing beats the book as far as I'm concerned.
I love series books, but this one is by far my favorite of all.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!
After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.

ReplyDeleteOh, I love this series, too. I haven't read all of them, though, which I should take care of...immediately! lol

Aww Patterson, alas I have not read him yet :( But good choice nonetheless
ReplyDeleteI am currently wrapping up book 7 in the series, but my favorite thus far is the 1st. You are so right - it is awesome watching them grow through every book.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you--series books are the best! I love watching the characters develop over time....
