Sunday/Monday Posts - September 7th and 8th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews

Happy Sunday and Monday!

Hope you all had a good week!

It may be September with fall right around the corner, but it's still feeling like summer here.  It's very hot and humid.  That's okay, though... I'm not big on humidity but I'm also not ready to see summer leave us.

I started my new job this week and, so far, so good.  There's so much to learn and I feel like a fish out of water, but hopefully that won't last too long.  Of course the new job left me with less blogging and reading time.  Like everyone else, I have to figure out a way to budget my time.  We all know that's easier said than done, but I'll figure it out eventually.

I was so sad to hear about the passing of Joan Rivers.  A great comedienne and a huge loss.

There's not much excitement going on around here and that's probably a good thing :)

I hope you all have a great week!

  2. Ooh, lovely books...I am curious about The Cats That Surfed the Web...and I love the house on the cover.

So sorry about Joan Rivers, too, followed so closely after Robin Williams' death.

Here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES POST

  3. Practice makes perfect, they say, you'll get a hold on it soon :) September is the first glimpse of real summer that we've had this year for more than 2 days ! It's sunny, moderately hot, no rain, no wind, no... ice ! Nice change ;) Have a great week !

  4. Congrats on the job, and hope it doesn't interfere with blogging time too much. :) We had some hot days last week too although the nights have been cooling down...

Nightmares Can Be Murder sounds like a great cozy, and a unique idea.

  6. Oh I hate that feeling the first few weeks of a new job. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it soon and the fish out of water feel will just be a memory. It's hard to believe the news about Joan Rivers. I was convinced it was a joke the whole first day it was on the news.

  7. I honestly expected Joan to recover. So sad. I loved her humor.
