Sunday/Monday Posts - December 11th and 12th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

So here we go...2016 is already coming to an end.  It still shocks me how fast the year went, but here we are.

I'm pretty sure I won't be reading my Goodreads challenge of 100 books.  I still need 10 more... it's possible, but I've been reading so slowly these days that it's doubtful.  I just haven't had as much reading time as I was hoping I'd have.  It's just a busy time of year, I guess.

I seem to be behind on everything, even my TV viewing.  But, it's not a race so I'll get to everything when I can.  I'm not going to stress over these things.  However, I do think I'll be taking on less review requests and blog tours in 2017.  I won't be stopping, just not doing as much as I've been doing.

So, what have you all been up to these days.  Read or watch anything good this week?  Have a great week!

Yvonne

  4. So many with cats on the cover- I want to read them all. I know how you feel though, no time for reading this time of year with shopping, decorating, etc.

  5. Look at all of those fun cozies! I need some new ones. Right. LOL I'm going to try doing less review requests next year, at least with the tours. So many books just sitting waiting for me to finally get to them.

  6. Wow! That's a lot of good books you got there! I'm also a bit behind on my Goodreads Reading Challenge since I've been reading at a snail's pace this month, but if I could reach up to 80 books this year, I'll be happy!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

  9. Yes sometimes we just don't get to what we thought we might read but more than quantity is enjoyment in reading. I am all for less of review books so that we can take the pressure off.

  10. I agree, 2016 flew by. It's great that you're not stressing yourself out even though your reading has slowed down. I have to constantly remind myself it's not a race.

  11. The year did zip by! I wish I knew how to accept less review books. They all sound so good and I, apparently, have no ability to say no. Maybe 2017 will be better. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
