The Weekend Review - October 27th through 29th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

We're having a nor'easter today on the east coast.  It's nasty out there with quite a bit of rain and wind.  I'm just happy there's no snow.  It's the perfect type of day to just catch up on reading and watching my TV shows.

I finished two books this week and really enjoying all my books.  I'm already thinking about the reading challenges I'll be hosting next year.  I'm keeping my Cruisin' thru the Cozies, What an Animal Reading Challenge and The Purrfect Reading Challenge.  I'm looking forward to re-visiting them next year (which is just a couple of months away - hard to believe).

I'm going to be unplugging for the next couple of weeks.  I'm taking a much needed break, but I will be back.

So, what's going on in your part of the world?  Read anything good?  Watch anything good?  Hope you all have a great couple of weeks.

Yvonne

  3. We've got rubbish weather here too, but it's more cold drizzle than stormy. Fortunately I have lots of books awaiting me :-)
I'm starting to think about next year's reading challenges too

  4. Stormy days are good for curling up to read and watch TV...as long as your power stays on.

Have a great two weeks of unplugged time.

  7. Enjoy your unplugging! I wish I could do that. I think I’d be happier if I could get away from electronics for a while. Have a great week!

  9. I need to figure out where I stand on my challenges. I know I've killed my library one and What An Animal one - so glad you're doing it again next year. However, I don't think I've linked any reviews. I better get busy. I am not a huge fan of Christmas movies or books but do try to read a few. However, this year, I'm more excited than usually so I'm hoping I can read all of the books!

  11. So many great looking cozies. Do enjoy being unplugged, it sure makes a difference, after the first few days of withdrawal symptoms!!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
