The Weekend Review - October 6th through 8th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

The weather is continuing to get cooler here and feeling very much like Autumn.  I have to go through my books and choose my spooky October reads.  I haven't put those together yet, but I'm going to do that this weekend.  Although, I make all these lists and then stray away from them.  LOL I only finished one book this week, but at least I finished a book.  I was hoping for more, though.

I'm still catching up on my TV shows.  I'm loving This Is Us and the new shows Manifest and New Amsterdam.  Both of those are really good.

It's been pretty quiet over here.  How has your week been?  Anything exciting going on?

Hope the coming week is a good one for you.

Here are this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

These books are coming up for reviews/blog tours in the next couple of months:

  1. Yvonne, your books, especially the cozies, always have the best covers! I'm not sure about spooky books or movies. I was tempted to watch a scary movie last night, but then decided not to as I was by myself and wanted to be able to sleep. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  3. Looks like some great reading this week. I haven't gotten back into the mystery genre yet but it's getting colder and that is the perfect time to read them. Have a great week!

  5. Sometimes I do better with no list. I selected books for Fraterfest and I bet I will read 2 of those but end up with two different ones than the list as well!

  9. Stormi liked Lies a lot so I want to read that one. I know what you mean about best laid plans for reading and such. I've been such a mood reader lately. I was able to grab a couple of those freebies too. Another This Is Us lover here. That show! It kills me.

  10. I have to pick out my spooky reads, too. I’m doing 2 readathons this month, so I’ll have plenty of time for them. I’m enjoying the cooler weather, too. Except it snowed this morning. I’m not ready for that.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
