The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.
Happy Weekend and Happy New Year!
My last weekend review for 2019. It's hard to believe it's the end of the year, but here it is. I plan to post a wrap up of my challenges for 2019 and my favorite 2019 books. I'll post those in the next day or two.
I'm still trying to decide what my first book of the new year will be. I guess it will all depend on what I finish before the end of the year.
I haven't been doing much TV or movie watching. I've been busy continuing to unpack and get the house in order.
Anyone have any special plans for New Year's Eve? We'll probably just go out to eat and come home to watch the countdown on TV.
So, what was your week like? I hope you all have a great week and Happy New Year!
Yvonne

I haven't been watching anything this week either. Oh 2019 went by so fast! How are you finding The Little Bookshop on the Seine? It looks interesting!

I enjoyed it very much. My review will be posted on 1/6 as part of a blog tour.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
I've requested all the Star Wars movies from our library system, in hopes of a Star Wars marathon over New Year's Eve and Day. It was a last minute thought, so I'm not sure they will arrive in time. If not, maybe I can think of an alternate plan.
ReplyDeleteI had a friend encourage me this week to pick up Little Bookshop on the Seine. I'm going to Paris in a month, and I'm always eager to read all-things-Paris. I need to look and see what you think of this one.
I hope you get your unpacking done some and you can get back to normal life.
Here's to a wonderful new year!
A movie marathon night sounds like a great way to celebrate the new year.

I’ll drag the kids down to the riverbank, which is essentially at the end of my road, to watch our town fireworks :)
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week and a Happy New Year
Thank you. Same to you and your family!
DeleteWe had a lovely Christmas week and I'm looking forward to a quiet NYE with a couple of friends. They come round to our house and play games while we wait for Jools Holland's countdown.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Yvonne, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.
Here's my Sunday Post

That sounds like a lovely way to spend NYE! Enjoy and have a great week!
DeleteI was just thinking about my first book of the new decade....eep! We have the Royals overnight on New Year's Eve and all day New Years, and while their Mom will be with them, it probably means very little reading as they love their Nonna and GeeGee. Happy New Year's Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteHave a great New Year's Kimberly! I'm sure you will have a great time with the Royals.
DeleteI can't believe it's almost 2020! And I'm trying to decide what my first book of the year is gonna be too. It's a surprisingly tough choice!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!
Undercover Cat looks good. Happy New Year!! XO
ReplyDeleteA lot of your books look tempting. Happy New Year. My weekly update
ReplyDeleteI've been watching more football than usual this week. We plan to stay home New Year's Eve and break out diet with a Sammy's Pizza - a local favorite. Come see my week here. Happy reading and happy new year!
ReplyDeleteThis is the perfect time of year to read cozies! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to watch a few films and snack a bit on New Year's Eve. It will be just the two of us, without any guests. We are looking forward to it:))
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very Happy New Year, Yvonne:)
ReplyDeleteMy plan for New Year’s Eve is to eat a hamburger and read a book. I’m not sure which book, though. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I quite enjoyed the Rebecca Raisin book, it will be my final for the year. It is already on its way to New Year here in NZ. All the best for your first book of the year pick, so much choice!
ReplyDeleteYou are 100% correct that the first book I read for the new year will depend on what I can finish in the next day.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and enjoy your new books!
