The Weekend Review - January 11th - 13th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

I don't know about the rest of you, but my 2020 reading has started off really great.  I've enjoyed my first few books of the year.  It looks like I have more good reading on the way.

The TV season has returned and I've been able to juggle my books and TV shows without falling behind on either.  That's surprising and I'm sure it won't last.  LOL  Some shows I enjoyed this past week - The Resident, Bull, Criminal Minds and Evil.  More shows are on the way this coming week :)

Other than enjoying my books and TV, it's been pretty quiet here.  I'm fine with that :) So, how has your week been?

  1. I am glad you reading year has gotten off to a great start, Yvonne. So many great books! I need to check Hulu and see if any new episodes have aired on the shows I follow. I am not sure if they have started up again. I hope you enjoy all your new books! Undercover Cat has such an adorable cover! Have a great week, Yvonne!

  2. I'm a little behind on shows at the moment but at least my reading has picked up haha! Hope you have a great weekend. :)

I'm definitely adding The Vanishing to my list. I've never read Krentz but I saw that one highlighted in a library newsletter and it sounds great!

  3. Everyone seems to be off to a good start this year. I'm glad. That is the best part of a new year---we all get to afresh.

Your mysteries look wonderfully inviting. Winter can be such a dreary time. It might be a good time to read a mystery.

Enjoy all your new shows and good books this week!

  4. Hems & Homicide sounds like an interesting title!

  5. I’m waiting for all of this last season of Criminal Minds to air and then I’m going to binge watch it.
I’m glad your year is off to a good start

Wishing you a great reading week

  6. Oh, I know what you mean about the books so far this year, Yvonne! I've enjoyed all my reads and have a lovely lot stacked up waiting for me to tuck into... Have a great week:)

  7. I'm so happy to see some TV shows returning. I'm glad your year has gotten off to a good start for you. :)

    Happy reading!

  8. Glad to hear your 2020 reading got off to a good start!
I hope this week is another good one for you.

  9. Looks like some fun books! When the holiday break is over, it's over quickly! Happy New Year :)

  10. Glad there are new episodes of tv shows, although I was not thrilled with Evil.

  11. Nice to hear your reading is going good. Mine is too. I'm behind on my shows though. I need a day for binging. LOL

  12. I'm glad it is all going well and you are keeping up. I can only manage it with audio. But with the house unpacking and projects getting accomplished I'm doing a little better with it too. Have another great week and enjoy our new reads!

Anne - Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post

  13. Your mysteries look temping. Have a good week. My weekly update

  14. I’m glad your reading has been good so far! I’ve only finished 1 novel and 1 picture book, so my reading has not been too awesome. I hope you have a great week!
