Book Beginnings on Fridays/The Friday 56 - March 6th

This is a fun meme to do hosted by Freda's Voice. If you'd like to join on the fun go to The Friday 56.

Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader.
*Find any sentence that grabs you.
*Post it.
*Link it here.

It's that simple.

I'm also joining in Book Beginnings on Friday. It's hosted by Rose City Reader.

I'm currently listening to this one on audio.  It's cute.

Beginnings...

As the man I loved approached my office, the image of a deer being hit by a truck came to mind. I was the deer, metaphorically speaking, and Mark Rousseau was the pickup truck of doom.

Since this in an audio, not a print or e-book, I can't figure out where 56% or page 56 is on here, so, I'm going with a teaser from the beginning pages...

Yes, Mark and I had been together. For five weeks. Five wonderful weeks. Almost five and a half, if you really analyzed it. Which I had.

  8. The pickup truck of doom part is hilarious! I've read some of Higgins' more women's fiction titles and really enjoyed them and I like the sound of this one.
