Book Beginnings on Fridays/The Friday 56 - May 1st

This is a fun meme to do hosted by Freda's Voice. If you'd like to join on the fun go to The Friday 56.

Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader.
*Find any sentence that grabs you.
*Post it.
*Link it here.

It's that simple.

I'm also joining in Book Beginnings on Friday. It's hosted by Rose City Reader.

I'm hoping to read this novella soon...

Beginnings...

Torte was aglow with color on a stunning early spring afternoon.  Rusty sunlight streamed into the front windows.  Outside, the trees lining the plaza were bursting with tiny yellow and green buds, and the storefronts were alight with gold and maroon banners, signaling the launch of a new season at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

From 56% on my Kindle...

"What do you think about a menu revolving around the beer?"

  5. What a descriptive opening. And I'm curious about a menu revolving around beer.

  6. What does it mean that the menu revolves around the beer? That seems odd to me. My Friday quotes
