The Weekend Review - July 10-12th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe another week has gone by in July.  It's just going way too fast.  The weather here hasn't been too bad once Tropical Storm Elsa left.  We really just had a little rain from the storm.  Nothing major.  It's still hot and humid here, but not as bad as in other places for sure.  I managed to walk three times this week so I've gone back to audio books.  I'm not sure it's a good idea since I only listen while I'm walking and it's hit or miss whether I will walk - depends on the weather, of course.

I finished reading two books this week.  Both of them were good ones.  I picked up a few more freebies for my Kindle.

I'm not watching too many things on TV...just the HGTV show Love It or List It.  It's fun.

Other than that, it's been a quiet week.  How was your week?  Read or see anything good?  Hope the upcoming week is a good one for everyone.

  1. I totally feel you about how fast the week went. It feels like this year is going by a lot faster than 2020 did, which is both better and worse lol. Have a great week!

  3. Glad you guys didn't get anything major from Elsa. It was humid here for a while but then it got mild- we've actually had windows open and nice breezes.

Your books look fun. I want to get back into cozies a bit...

  4. Glad to hear the weather has been good for walking this week, after Storm Elsa left, and so you're back to enjoying your audiobooks. It has been humid and story here in the UK too, which I escaped from in the easy, nostalgic The Comedy Club Mystery by Peter Bartram. Take care and happy reading/listening in the coming week.🙂

  5. I'm glad you didn't receive any damage from Elsa. Hurricanes set us all on edge when you live near the water.

We've gotten up early this week and walked, and we are happier for it.

I note that both of your next reading possibilities feature cat characters!

  14. The weeks are definitely flying by!
I've been terrible with audiobooks lately as I usually listen whilst driving and I'm not doing much driving anymore... Maybe I should add them into my walking! I usually walk to music but an audiobook may be good too. :)

  16. I listened to the Tonya Kappes book on audio and really enjoyed it! Such a fun story. I'm not sure if we're getting the aftermath of Elsa or what but it's been raining like crazy here and I'm not a fan. Have a great week!
