The Weekend Review - January 6th-8th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

I hope your year is off to a good start.  It's been a quiet week here.

I ended last year and began this year reading a few novellas.  I just wanted to read something quick and easy.  I still need to finish this particular series, but I decided to take a break and read a thriller.  The Patient's Daughter was one of those books I couldn't put down.  My review will be up as part of a blog tour next Saturday.

I'm still binging on Game of Thrones.  There are quite a few seasons to watch and I'm really enjoying it.  I'm almost finished with season 2.

Other than that, the year is starting off quiet and I'm very happy about that.  I hope you all have a great week!

Here's my reading list through January.  As always, this list is subject to change due to my mood (and other deadlines). 😁

Here is this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

    1. Each cover is a different color. It's the same series, but different books (prequel, #1, #2, #3).

  14. Good start to your year, its surprising sometimes how a thriller just hits the reading spot perfectly.

  15. We loved Game of Thrones, but we still have to watch the prequel series. I think I am a bit concerned it won't be as good as GoT!

  16. Sounds like you are really enjoying yourself. I loved The GoT when I watched them but I feel like a rewatch is definitely in order as they are so complicated and in-depth that I am sure I've forgotten tons.
